Citizen's Police Academy During the spring of 2000, the Camden Police Department held the first Citizen Police Academy. The purpose of this Academy was to help members of the public understand a little more about the jobs that police officers do. This first academy was organized with the assistance of the Camden Triad and consisted of 18 "students". Classes were held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. once a week for eight weeks.

House Check Program The Camden Police Department has for years requested that residents who are going to be away from their homes for an extended period of time, and who would like to have the department check on their home while they are gone, notify us. As part of this program we ask that you provide us with the date of your departure, your anticipated date of return, a phone number where you can be reached, and the name and phone number of a local contact person. To request a house check on-line (Click Here). Special Condition Program This program is designed to allow residents to register specific special conditions regarding their property or occupants with the police department. Examples of special conditions would include disabled adult occupants, autistic or special needs child, protective dog, etc. These special conditions would be added to the departments computer system and would be provided to responding officers if appropriate.
